Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 Microphone

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 is reported to have an upgraded microphone system, with some sources suggesting it features four microphones (an increase from the three on the Z Flip5).

Key microphone and audio features generally include:

• Multiple Microphones: The number of microphones (often multiple) is used for various functions like calls, video recording, and noise cancellation.
• Noise Cancellation: The phone utilizes its microphones for ambient noise reduction during calls and recordings.¹
• Audio Input Options: Samsung typically provides advanced microphone controls, especially in the Pro Video mode, allowing users to select the audio input direction:²
Omni: Captures sound from all directions.³
  • Front: Focuses on sound coming from the front of the phone.
  • Rear: Focuses on sound coming from the back of the phone.⁴
  • External (USB/Bluetooth): Allows you to use an external microphone or headset.

While the exact placement isn’t always officially specified, multiple microphones are strategically placed around the device (typically on the top, bottom, and near the camera) to enable these features effectively.
