Samsung Galaxy M14 5G Volume Buttom Flex Cable

Samsung Galaxy M14 5G Volume Button Flex Cable

The volume buttons on your phone rely on a thin, flexible circuit board—the flex cable—to register presses and send the signal to the main logic board.

 What is the Part?

• Name: Volume Button Flex Cable / Volume Key Flex / Volume Up Down Flex.
• Function: It contains the physical switches that are pressed when you use the external volume rockers (buttons) and connects these switches to the main board.
• Note on Assembly: On many budget-friendly Samsung models like the M14 5G and the closely related A14 5G, the volume buttons are often on a separate flex cable from the Power Button/Fingerprint Sensor (which is a different flex on the other side of the phone). However, some aftermarket parts may group the power and volume buttons onto one flex cable, so always check the product description.

Symptoms of a Broken Volume Flex Cable

If this internal flex cable is damaged (usually from a drop, impact, or liquid entry), you may observe:

• Unresponsive Volume Keys: Pressing the Volume Up or Volume Down buttons does nothing.
• Stuck/Jammed Volume: The volume constantly goes up or down on its own, which may indicate the switch on the flex cable is permanently shorted or stuck.
• Intermittent Functionality: The buttons only work sometimes, or one side works while the other does not.
