Samsung Galaxy M56 5G Microphone

The Samsung Galaxy M56 5G, like most modern smartphones, utilizes multiple microphones for various functions, including calls, video recording, and noise cancellation.

While Samsung’s official specifications don’t typically detail the exact number or technical specs of the microphones, here is what is generally known or expected:

• Primary Microphone: Located on the bottom of the phone, typically next to the USB-C port. This is the main microphone used for making standard voice calls and for picking up your voice when recording videos in portrait orientation.
• Secondary/Noise-Canceling Microphone: There is usually a secondary microphone located on the top of the phone. Its primary purpose is to pick up ambient noise during a call. The phone’s software then uses this input to filter out background noise, ensuring clearer audio for the person you are talking to. It also helps with stereo audio recording in videos.

Key Audio/Call Features:

Based on the phone’s feature set, you can expect the microphones to support:

• Voice Focus: Samsung’s “Voice Focus” feature (often available on Galaxy M-series phones) is specifically designed to enhance call quality by filtering out background noise, which relies heavily on the quality and placement of the microphones.¹
• Video Recording: The multiple microphones are used to capture audio for video, often aiming for clearer, sometimes stereo, sound.
• Loudspeaker: The phone supports loudspeaker audio for calls, using the primary microphone to capture your voice while the sound is played through the speaker.
