Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Microphone

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is designed to provide clear audio for calls, voice commands, and video recording.¹ While Samsung’s official specifications often don’t detail the exact number or technical specs of the microphones, here’s what is generally known about the microphone setup on recent Samsung Galaxy phones in the same class:

1. Multiple Microphones: Like most modern smartphones, the S24 FE almost certainly has multiple microphones (typically 2 to 3) for various functions:
   • Main Microphone: Located on the bottom edge of the phone, primarily for voice during normal phone calls and general recordings.²
   • Secondary/Noise-Cancelling Microphone: Usually on the top or near the rear camera module, used for noise reduction during calls and for clearer audio pickup during video recording (sometimes offering “Audio Zoom” features).
2. Audio Zoom: The flagship Galaxy S series often features a dedicated microphone, sometimes discreetly placed near the rear camera lenses, to enhance audio focus when zooming in during video recording.³ Given the S24 FE is part of the Galaxy S series, it’s highly likely to include this functionality.
3. Troubleshooting: If you experience issues with the microphone, the most common solutions are:
   • Ensure the small microphone holes (especially the one on the bottom edge) are not blocked by a case, protective film, or debris.⁴Check microphone permissions in the phone’s settings to make sure the app you are using has access.⁵
   • Restart the phone.⁶

If you are experiencing a specific problem with the microphone, providing more details might help find a more targeted solution.
