Samsung Galaxy S24+ Microphone

The Samsung Galaxy S24+ features multiple microphones for various audio functions, including:

• Noise Cancellation: It includes noise-cancelling microphones, which help to reduce background sound during calls.¹
• Microphone Location: The main microphone is typically located on the bottom edge of the phone, next to the USB-C port and speaker grille.² A separate microphone for noise cancellation is often found on the top edge.
• “Hidden” Camera Microphone: The S24+ (and S24 Ultra) also features a tiny, less obvious microphone near the rear camera lenses.³ This microphone’s main function is for Audio Zoom when recording videos, allowing the sound pickup to focus on the subject as you zoom in.⁴

• Software Features: While on a call, the S24+ often provides a “Mic Mode” option (accessible from the quick settings/notification panel) which lets you choose between:
  • Standard: Normal microphone use.
  • Voice Focus (or similar name): A feature that helps isolate your voice and minimize background noise.
  • Full Spectrum: Captures a wider range of surrounding sounds.

The multiple microphones work together to provide clear audio capture for calls, recordings, and videos, including directional and noise-reduction capabilities.
