Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 Ear Speaker Flex Cable

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 Ear Speaker Flex Cable

Function of the Ear Speaker Flex Cable

Audio Delivery: This cable connects the small ear speaker (sometimes called the receiver or earpiece speaker) to the phone’s main circuit board (motherboard).

• Purpose: The ear speaker is what you hold up to your ear during a phone call. The flex cable ensures the audio signal from the motherboard reaches the speaker component, allowing you to hear the caller.
• Integration: On foldable phones like the Z Flip5, the earpiece speaker and its flex cable are located in the top half of the phone, typically integrated near the display assembly or the upper chassis.

 When This Part is Needed

If you are experiencing issues with call audio where you cannot hear the person on the other end, or the sound is quiet, distorted, or intermittent, the problem could be due to:

1. A faulty Ear Speaker: The speaker component itself is broken.
2. A damaged Flex Cable: The ribbon connector (the flex cable) has been torn, corroded (from moisture), or has a bad connection to the board.
