Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 Front Glass Only

For the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, you need to specify which screen’s glass you are referring to:

1. Inner (Main Foldable) Screen Glass
2. Outer (Cover Screen / Flex Window) Glass

Here is a breakdown of the possibilities and typical repair practices:

1. Inner (Main Foldable) Screen

The large, foldable screen has a complex structure, including the Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) layer.

• Front Glass Only Replacement (Highly Not Recommended): While third-party repair services sometimes offer to separate the glass from the display panel (a process called “glass-only separation”), this is an extremely high-risk and technically difficult procedure for foldable displays. It is often reserved for non-folding rigid screens (like a standard phone). Using this method can easily damage the delicate, expensive foldable AMOLED panel underneath.
• Official Repair: Samsung and authorized service centers almost always replace the entire Inner Display Combo Folder (which includes the new UTG and frame) for any damage to the inner screen or its glass.

2. Outer (Cover Screen / Flex Window)

This is the smaller screen on the outside of the phone.

• Front Glass Only Replacement (Possible, but Specialist): The cover screen’s glass is technically glued to the AMOLED display panel beneath it. Specialist repair shops may offer to replace just the glass if the screen’s image and touch function are perfect. This is a cheaper option than replacing the whole assembly.
• Outer Display Combo Replacement (Standard): Many repair centers, including some third-party ones, will replace the entire Outer OLED Assembly/Combo (which includes the new glass and the screen) to ensure a high-quality, reliable repair
