Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 Back Panel

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 Back Panel (Rear Battery Cover)

The back panel is a cosmetic and protective component of the phone’s housing.¹ Due to the Z Fold5’s design, this part covers the main logic board and the primary battery cell on the non-folding side of the device

Key Components Included in a Replacement Back Panel:

1. Glass Panel: The main exterior part, made of glass, featuring the color and finish of your device (e.g., Phantom Black, Cream, Icy Blue).
2. Camera Lens Cover: The glass or plastic rings/lenses that protect the main, ultrawide, and telephoto camera lenses are almost always pre-installed in the new back panel.
3. Adhesive: New, pre-applied adhesive tape (or glue) is often included on the panel to create a seal with the metal frame, which is crucial for maintaining the device’s original water and dust resistance rating (IPX8).
4. Logos/Markings: It includes the Samsung and other regulatory logos.

Important Notes on Repair

• Self-Repair Difficulty: Replacing the back panel requires carefully heating the old panel to loosen the adhesive, removing it without damaging internal components (like the battery or wireless charging coil), and then applying the new panel with fresh adhesive to ensure a proper seal
