Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 Microphone

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, like its predecessors, uses a multi-microphone system to ensure good audio quality for calls, recordings, and video capture.

While exact specifications on the number of microphones are often not detailed in consumer-facing materials, here are the key aspects of its microphone capabilities:

• Multi-Microphone Setup: The device typically features multiple microphones (often 3 or more) placed around the phone to aid in directional audio recording and noise cancellation.
• Noise Cancellation/Voice Focus: The Galaxy Z Fold6 supports features like “Mic mode” (also known as Voice Focus in some contexts) which is accessible during calls.¹ This feature helps to:

  • Focus on the caller’s voice by filtering out increased background noise.
  • Capture a “Full Spectrum” of sound, including voice and background, for different recording needs
• AI Enhancements: The phone incorporates Galaxy AI features that rely on the microphones for advanced functionality, such as:
  • Live Translate: Real-time translation during voice calls.²
  • Interpreter: Real-time, face-to-face translation on the main and cover screens.³
  • Note Assist: Transcription, translation, and summarizing of voice recordings in the Samsung Notes app.⁴
• External Microphone Support: You can connect external USB-C microphones using an adapter to significantly enhance audio quality for professional recording or streaming.⁵
