Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE Sim Connector

The “SIM Connector” for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE is the internal component that the SIM card tray plugs into, often referred to as the SIM Card Reader or SIM Connector Flex Cable.

Component Details

• Name: SIM Connector (or SIM Card Reader Flex Cable)
• Function: This is the part soldered to a flexible circuit board inside the phone that makes electrical contact with the SIM card to read your mobile network information.
• Location: It is located inside the phone’s housing, usually near the edge where the SIM card tray is inserted.
• Replacement Need: This part is typically replaced if your phone stops recognizing a SIM card (e.g., displaying “No SIM Card” or “Insert SIM”) even after checking that the SIM card and the external tray are undamaged and inserted correctly. This issue is often caused by a bent pin inside the connector due to improper tray insertion.

Repair Information

• Complexity: Replacing the SIM connector is an intricate repair. It usually requires full disassembly of one half of the phone and, in some cases, micro-soldering if the connector is directly mounted on the main circuit board instead of being a modular flex cable.
• Recommendation: Due to the complexity and the risk of damaging the main board or other fragile components in a foldable phone, this repair is best left to professional, certified technicians or an authorized Samsung service center.

If you are just looking for the part that holds the SIM card and slides into the phone, that is called the SIM Card Tray (or SIM Holder). Be sure to specify the correct part to your vendor or technician.
